Hello, friend of the Intentional Theatre. Well, we're up to our old tricks again. We're putting on a show, only this time we're doing two shows with six plays in each one, so it's kind of like 24 shows all told.
It's our First Annual International Short Play Festival with plays by writers from all over the country and as far away as Australia. Selected from nearly 150 plays submitted, the 12 finalists represent a cross-section of styles and voices. The plays will be presented as a staged-reading, meaning there will be a few concerted rehearsals and the actors will take to the stage with scripts in hand to present these works in progress. Many of the plays have never been staged before, and are receiving their world premier on our stage!
Show dates are Sept 15 and 16, and 22 and 23. Each night will present six plays from 10 to 30 minutes in length for your entertainment. We've assembled a talented cast of local actors and it promises to be an exciting night.
